Float Staff at Connections ELCC play a vital role in maintaining the smooth and supportive flow of daily operations. They ensure consistent coverage across all classrooms, assist with cleaning and organization, and provide support to educators and children as needed throughout the day. Float Staff embody the values of teamwork, flexibility, and proactive care.

• Alberta Child Care Certification Level 1 or higher (required)
• Valid First Aid in Child Care Certificate
• Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check (required)
• Experience working in early childhood settings preferred
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow direction, adapt quickly, and take initiative

• Support classrooms during staff breaks, absences, and programming times.
• Float between rooms to assist with transitions, routines, and supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in hallways, washrooms, shared spaces, and entrance areas.
• Wipe down surfaces, high-touch areas, and classroom materials during downtime.
• Ensure dishes, bottles, and meal prep materials are washed and put away as needed.
• Support classroom educators with set-up and clean-up of activities and mealtimes.
• Assist with basic sanitization, toy rotation, and organization of shared supplies.
• Follow daily float schedule provided by the leadership team and adapt as needed.
• Provide responsive and respectful support to children and staff in every classroom.
• Promote a calm, collaborative, and safe environment in alignment with centre values.
